1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Sometimes in life you have the rare opportunity to witness true love. You know the kind that sparks a raw emotion in you just by being around them. Not saying that I don't have true love with my hubby, but we are in that comfortable state in our marriage where we are happy just being in the same room without conversation. More like Pink's version of True Love..lol. I think the looks I get from him now after 20 years are more of "Wow did she really just do that", verse looking at me like I am the only person in the room and nothing else matters.
I had this opportunity on Saturday to witness that kind of TRUE LOVE that makes you believe that there really can be that storybook ending...AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. I was blessed with the opportunity to capture the love between this young family. They are such a sweet, kind, and loving couple and the love they share is so clear every time time they look at each other. What a beautiful family they have created and you just know they have what it takes for forever. I hope I am around to take their 50th Anniversary photos. Of course, I will probably be taking photos with a walker by then.

I got to spend a couple of hours this past Saturday in Southport NC. It was such a gorgeous day, a little chilly, but totally worth it.
You are the angel atop my tree.
Sunday, January 3, 2016
I finally got around to taking the tree down today. Since the boys were little, every year I have bought them a Christmas ornament that represented what they were in to that year. I forced them to help me decorate the tree this year so we could go through the ornaments and reminisce about them. Even though they will never admit it to anyone, they secretly loved it. They were talking to one another about each one of them and remembering where we were living when they got them. As I was taking the tree down today I realized that my collection would probably be coming to an end soon, or on pause while we patiently await grandkids. I carefully packed my box of treasures away until next year and couldn't help but feel a little teary eyed over the Angel that has sat upon our tree since 2007. Jacob made this angel for us while we were living in Hawaii, and even though it has seen better days I couldn't think of any other one that would give me as much joy as this one. I still have the card that Jacob gave me with the Angel and it reads.
Dear Family,
I give you the Angel I made in class for all the wonderful things you do and I love you.
Love,
Day 2/365
365 Day Challenge
Saturday, January 2, 2016
Well 2016 is finally here! This is the year that I push myself and my photography to the next level. I will find more me time, I will let the little things go, and I will give my passion for photography a chance to blossom. I will find the beauty in my everyday world, and stop and search for the light.
This year I have committed myself to complete a 365 day photo challenge. This morning I awoke to beautiful light shining through my kitchen window so I grabbed my camera and shoes then headed outside to capture the light shining through our bird feeder, by the way is empty.
